Hello, I’m Tanika.
A bit about me…
Art has been my sanctuary since childhood, a means of expressing myself in a world where I often felt quiet and reserved. I embarked on my artistic journey studying Art and Design at the College of Cape Town, where I have since cultivated and refined my skills.
For the past six years, I've delved into the world of freelance design, both on-site and remotely, immersing myself in a myriad of projects spanning corporate design, educational materials, storyboarding, comic books, children’s illustrations, infographics, and illustrations tailored to simple animations. Each project has been an opportunity to bring creativity to the forefront, infusing my work with vibrant colours, clean lines, and a sense of dynamism that defines my style.
My style of illustration is versatile and forever evolving, always pushing the boundaries of my creativity. Beyond my professional endeavours, I'm a lifelong learner, constantly seeking to sharpen my skills and explore new software. When I'm not at my desk, you'll find me embracing the outdoors, practicing yoga, getting lost in a good book, or simply enjoying the company of my two cats.
With each project I undertake, I strive to leave a lasting impression, infusing every creation with passion, dedication, and a touch of magic.
